Rushi is an IT professional turned teacher. She started her career in the Internet and Telecoms industry and moved into Business Continuity and Cloud Computing before retraining as a teacher. Rushi is now Director of Careers & Outreach as well as heading up the Computing department at a local school.

Rushi is the Chairman for CWO Digital and sits on the Conservative Women’s Organisation National Executive where she has written the strategy and policies for the CWO’s online media presence nationally.

As well as her national role, Rushi is plays a very active role locally. She is the Women’s Officer for the Maidenhead Conservative Association, the Vice Chair for the Windsor Conservative Association, Datchet branch and a member of the Windsor Association Executive.

Rushi’s community activities encompass a wide range of areas. She is one of the leading members of Maidenhead Matters, a community group she helped launch in June 2018, which included the Refill initiative, a litter artist competition for local schools, a community heroes exhibition and speaking at The Conservative Party Conference 2019 about working in the community. Rushi also supports the community through activities like litter picks and recently secured funding for five community groups, across three villages, to purchase equipment.
